ESL – English as a Second Language

ESL (English as a Second Language) is a program that identifies and services students who speak languages other than English within our school districts. Students identified as English Learners receive intensive language instruction in small groups as well as linguistic support throughout their academic days. Hancock County’s ESL program services students from all over the world who speak over 20 languages. We pride ourselves on helping build bridges between EL students, families, and the school districts to further strengthen our communities. Our diversity is our strength!
