On January 7th, the Hancock County High School Quiz Bowl season concluded with its annual tournament, which was held at Liberty-Benton High School. The team from Liberty Benton was the Tournament Champion, with the team from Riverdale finishing as the Runner-Up. (Back row-left to right) Sophia May, Tucker Lewis, Wynter Frey, Nick Bash, Eva Bayes, Mrs. Thacker, Lilly Frey, Jack Crist, Ava Moran, Brylinn Palmer. Mrs. Kristie Thacker is the team’s advisor.
Students participated in this annual competition from the eight area school districts, including Arcadia, Arlington, Cory-Rawson, Liberty-Benton, McComb, Riverdale, Van Buren and Vanlue.
The Quiz Bowl program is offered annually through the Hancock County Educational Service Center.
