On the evening of February 4th, students from the area elementary and middle schools participated in this year’s Hancock County Spelling Bee that was held at the Marathon Center for The Performing Arts. Bentlee Mansfield, an 8th grader at Glenwood Middle School, Findlay City Schools, was the Champion of this year’s event. The Runner-Up was 5th grader, Calvin McKale, from Arlington Elementary School, Arlington Local Schools.
Plaques were awarded to the top two finishers, medals were given to those who placed third through seventh, and all participants were given certificates of participation. The Hancock County Educational Service Center provided all awards.
