3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF! 🚀🎈
Ms. Sheridan’s class put Newton’s 3rd Law to the test yesterday with some epic balloon races! Students learned firsthand that for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction. 💨🏎️

Community, learning, and... baby goats? Yes, please! 🐐🌾
Yesterday was an extra special day for our Riverdale classrooms. Our students got to get up close and personal with a baby goat, learning about animals while making some unforgettable memories on the playground.
We love seeing our students' faces light up like this. Thank you to our amazing staff and community members for bringing this joy to our classrooms!

Mrs. Tyson’s class got their hands dirty yesterday planting their very own vegetable garden! 🪴 Before digging in, our gardeners had a great discussion about exactly what plants need to thrive:
☀️ Sunlight
💧 Water
🧪 Healthy Soil
❤️ And a little bit of love!
We can't wait to watch our hard work grow.

Checking the forecast with the best! 🌡️☁️
Yesterday, Chief Meteorologist Conner Prince from WLIO stopped by the ESC Preschool at Vanlue. He helped us wrap up our weather unit by showing us how satellites and radar help him predict the weather every day! 🛰️
Thanks for visiting us, Conner! 🎤💙

Yesterday was our big schoolwide Ball Metal can collection day! ♻️📦
We’ve worked hard collecting cans all year long. It’s been a great way to show our students and the community just how important recycling really is. Proud of all the hard work that went into keeping our building green!

What a day! 🦁🐒 We had the absolute best time yesterday on our zoo adventure, and we did it in style!
Check out our two-step recipe for the perfect field trip:
• Step 1: Get creative! The kiddos had a blast making their own custom tie-dye shirts. 🎨✨
• Step 2: Rock those colors at the zoo! It made spotting our group in the crowd a breeze (and we looked pretty sharp, if we do say so ourselves). 🌈
We want to send a huge THANK YOU to Marathon for the incredibly generous ticket donation. You made these smiles possible and gave our kids a day they’ll never forget! 🦒❤️

🐾 Exciting Preparation for the Zoo! 🐒
Over the last few days, our OT and Speech teams collaborated with our students for some wonderful, hands-on learning activities to get ready for our upcoming zoo trip.
We are so proud of their enthusiasm and teamwork. A big thank you to our OT and Speech teams for making it such a memorable experience for everyone! 🌟

Ms. Wilson’s class had an incredible time exploring today, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. A huge THANK YOU to Marathon Petroleum for their generous ticket donation—you made this trip possible for our students! 🐾💛

It’s Community Day at Cory-Rawson, and our students are out in full force showing some serious school spirit!
From the classroom to the courtyard, our kiddos have been hard at work making the campus shine. Check out what they’ve been up to today:
• 🎨 Art in Action: The school rock got a fresh, vibrant new look!
• 🌿 Garden Glow-up: Weeds have been pulled and flower beds are looking better than ever.
• 🧹 Campus Clean-up: Students are scouring the grounds to make sure everything is neat and tidy.
• ✨ And so much more!
We are so proud of our students for taking ownership of their school and learning the value of giving back. A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers helping lead the way!

Bowling is right up these boys’ alley! 🎳🏆
Our ESSS Middle and High School classes had a "striking" good time on their trip last week! The students headed to the lanes for some Adapted Physical Education (APE) fun, and the energy was high all afternoon.

🎓 Planning for the Future!
Mrs. Tyson's class had a fantastic visit yesterday from Wyandot County to chat with our students about the big transition after high school!
A huge thank you to Miss Rachel from Project Life for sharing such valuable insights and helping our students prepare for their next big chapter.

East Sandusky Street School is proud to award student of the Quarter in middle school to Braxton!
Braxton is one of the biggest helpers in our classroom. Whether he is being a teaching assistant during morning meetings, completing chores to help keep our classroom and school clean, or running helpful errands, he is always ready to step up.
Braxton also brings so much joy to his classroom. He happily joins in all of our classroom shenanigans, and he is never afraid to sing, dance, and have fun with his classmates.
Most importantly, Braxton has grown so much this school year. It has been truly amazing to watch the progress he has made. His hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to help others make our classroom a better place every day.
Braxton, we are so proud of you.

Cookie duty! 👩🍳 Practice makes perfect when it comes to life skills. We helped the Riverdale staff prep some treats for lunch today. 🍪

Check out these highlights from our end-of-the-year bowling trips! 🎳
Our students took their Adaptive PE skills to the local lanes this week, and the energy was off the charts. Whether they were using ramps, bumpers, or going pro-style, everyone got in on the action.
It’s been an incredible year of growth, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our students' hard work than with a little friendly competition and a lot of high-fives. 🖐️

State tests are in full swing, but Mrs. Peace’s students aren't letting the pressure get to them! They spent time crafting an encouraging poster to cheer each other on. 🎨📝
It’s a wonderful reminder that while testing is important, community and kindness come first. 🧡
Good luck to all our students—take a deep breath, do your best, and remember: you’ve got this! 🌟

The Miss Altman and Ms. Beth's class concluded their space science unit by visiting the Armstrong Air & Space Museum. It was an insightful look into the history of the space program and a perfect way to bring their studies to life.
Following the museum, the group enjoyed lunch at Taco Bell, where students practiced the practical skills of ordering their own meals and managing their transactions. It was a successful day of both academic and real-world learning! 🌌🌮

The stars aligned for our students today! 🌟🚀
A huge thank you to Hancock County Park District for bringing their incredible mobile planetarium right into our classrooms at Riverdale. Our students got to travel through the cosmos without ever leaving the building!
There is nothing quite like seeing that "aha!" moment when a student sees the constellations up close. Thanks for making science come alive! 🔭🪐

Better late than never! 🐴❄️
After a few chilly cancellations, Mrs. VanDenEynde’s class finally made it to Challenged Champions, and it was worth the wait! Our students had an incredible time connecting with the horses, learning new skills, and enjoying the fresh air.
