This month in one of our preschool rooms, we’re exploring the wonderful world of animals! 🐾 The kids are loving our interactive vet clinic, complete with a waiting room and receptionist, a vet station with an examination table, and even a grooming station. They’re learning through play as they care for their “patients” and practice teamwork. We also have a cozy preschool aquarium library, where the children can relax and read all about their favorite animals. Hancock County Spelling Bee- January 30, 2025 On the evening of January 30th, students from the area elementary and middle schools participated in this year’s Hancock County Spelling Bee that was held at the Marathon Center for The Performing Arts. Madeline Barbee, an eighth grader at Arlington Middle School, Arlington Local Schools, was the Champion of this year’s event by correctly spelling the word- bureau. The Runner-Up was 8th grader, Jonah Todd, from Liberty-Benton Middle School, Liberty-Benton Local Schools. Plaques were awarded to the top two finishers, medals were given to those who placed third through seventh, and all participants were given certificates of participation. The Hancock County Educational Service Center provided all awards. Special thanks go to our Judges and Pronouncer for the evening; Mr. Jeff Young, Superintendent at the Hancock County ESC; Dr. Michael Scoles, Academic Counselor at the Millstream Career Center; Mrs. Kelly Wohlgamuth, Gifted Coordinator at Findlay City Schools and Mrs. Tracy Hiller, Treasurer at Vanlue Local Schools.
