This outing wasn’t just about fun—it was a great opportunity to practice social skills, including ordering food, handling money, and engaging in positive interactions.

Mrs. VanDenEynde’s class had a blast making clouds in a jar today! They used warm water, hairspray (to represent dust and pollen), and an ice-filled lid to create the perfect conditions for a cloud to form. The best part? They got to lift the lid and feel the cloud! This month in one of our preschool rooms, we’re exploring the wonderful world of animals! 🐾 The kids are loving our interactive vet clinic, complete with a waiting room and receptionist, a vet station with an examination table, and even a grooming station. They’re learning through play as they care for their “patients” and practice teamwork.
We also have a cozy preschool aquarium library, where the children can relax and read all about their favorite animals. It’s been an exciting and educational experience for everyone!

Last week, Mrs. Tyson’s class had the opportunity to visit the horses at Challenged Champions!🐴The students had a wonderful time interacting with the horses. Some high school students joined the trip to help out, making it a fantastic collaboration between grade levels. It was a meaningful experience for everyone involved, combining hands-on learning with teamwork and community engagement.

Hancock County Spelling Bee- January 30, 2025
On the evening of January 30th, students from the area elementary and middle schools participated in this year’s Hancock County Spelling Bee that was held at the Marathon Center for The Performing Arts. Madeline Barbee, an eighth grader at Arlington Middle School, Arlington Local Schools, was the Champion of this year’s event by correctly spelling the word- bureau.
The Runner-Up was 8th grader, Jonah Todd, from Liberty-Benton Middle School, Liberty-Benton Local Schools. Plaques were awarded to the top two finishers, medals were given to those who placed third through seventh, and all participants were given certificates of participation. The Hancock County Educational Service Center provided all awards.
Special thanks go to our Judges and Pronouncer for the evening; Mr. Jeff Young, Superintendent at the Hancock County ESC; Dr. Michael Scoles, Academic Counselor at the Millstream Career Center; Mrs. Kelly Wohlgamuth, Gifted Coordinator at Findlay City Schools and Mrs. Tracy Hiller, Treasurer at Vanlue Local Schools.
