🎉 STEM Fun in Ms. Altman and Mrs. Peace’s Classrooms! 🎉 This past month has been full of exciting STEM activities in Ms. Altman and Mrs. Peace’s classrooms! 🛠️ Ms. Altman’s class took on the challenge of building the tallest and sturdiest towers using marshmallows and toothpicks. Students worked in groups, collaborating on their designs and experimenting with shapes and placement to create strong structures. It was a fantastic opportunity to problem-solve and think critically! 📚 Mrs. Peace’s class connected their activities to The Gingerbread Man. They engineered foil boats to hold “people” (spice drops), testing their designs to see whose boat could hold the most. They also had a blast designing and building the longest paper chains, practicing creativity and teamwork along the way! Both classes have done an amazing job learning to work together, think critically, and embrace challenges. Way to go, students! 🌟 #STEMLearning #Teamwork

Then, they took a special trip to the Post Office, where they toured the facility and mailed their cards. Following the presentation, the students enjoyed an exciting game of Work Jeopardy, testing their knowledge and having fun while learning about their future possibilities. 🎶 Today, Ms. Sheridan’s class had a special visit from Heartstring Melodies Music Therapy! The students worked on their listening skills through engaging musical activities. 🦃 They especially loved the instrument that made turkey sounds! 🌟 A Super Busy Week in Mrs. Tyson’s Class! 🌟 This week was packed with meaningful activities and learning for Mrs. Tyson’s class! 💙 Kindness Jars: Miss Alison from FRC helped our students create kindness jars as a way to spread kindness to others. They also spent time reflecting on affirmations about themselves—such an uplifting experience! ☕ Travelin’ Toms: Our students had the opportunity to serve parents and grandparents through Travelin’ Toms, a special time for connection and community. 🎓 Self-Advocacy and Life After High School: Mr. Todd from Wyandot County joined us to discuss self-advocacy and resources available after high school. Students learned about colleges that offer support for students with disabilities. 🌟 Inspiring Guest Speaker: Justin, a former student now in Project Life, returned to share his experiences and inspire his peers with insights about the program.
