Mrs. Perkins’ class had a blast today creating colorful masterpieces with Awakening Minds Art! Students used bubble wrap to paint unique designs on umbrellas—combining creativity, texture, and a whole lot of fun! Such a fun way to brighten up a rainy day!

This week in Mrs. VanDenEynde’s class, their Scholastic News was all about baby gators and reptiles—so Miss Dawnyel brought in a special guest to make the learning come to life! Her pet bearded dragon came to visit, and the students were so excited to meet it. Some brave kiddos even held it and fed it a worm! What a fun (and scaly) way to connect our reading to the real world!

Mrs. Tyson’s class had some fun with April Fools’ jokes today! Kenzie had everyone excited when she said she brought brownies—only to reveal a tray of “brown E’s”! We also tried to pull a fast one on a classmate by leaving a note on the board saying class was canceled. Lots of laughs and tricky fun today!

Miss Amanda and Miss Brooke brought the excitement of March Madness to both Mrs. Perkins’ and Mrs. Tyson’s classrooms during a fun group OT and speech activity!
In Mrs. Perkins’ classroom, students used AAC devices to communicate and participate in basketball-themed activities. Meanwhile, in Mrs. Tyson’s classroom, Miss Brooke read Bouncy, a story about a basketball that couldn’t bounce. The students then filled out a candy bracket with Miss Amanda’s help, voting for their favorite treats. After some sweet competition, Smarties was crowned the candy champion!
Both classrooms had a blast building communication skills while celebrating March Madness!
Ms. Sheridan’s Class Takes a Trip to the Kenton Theater! 🎭🍔
This week Ms. Sheridan’s class had a fantastic day out in the community! They enjoyed a trip to the Kenton Theater for a special movie experience, followed by a visit to McDonald’s for lunch. This outing wasn’t just about fun—it was a great opportunity to practice social skills, including ordering food, handling money, and engaging in positive interactions.

They used warm water, hairspray (to represent dust and pollen), and an ice-filled lid to create the perfect conditions for a cloud to form. The best part? They got to lift the lid and feel the cloud!
